Terraform vs DCM Tools or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Unintended Consequences
Snowflake has many objects, ie states, to manage. Depending on your estate this can range into Ks, 10Ks, or maybe more. The options generally boil down to Terraform or a database-change-management tool, both with different specificities of jank, with no clear winner.
I'll recount a couple of stories where we intended well, and got bitten by unintended consequences.
Will give an example where TF is clear winner
