Snowflake User Groups are organized and run by technical members of Snowflake's Data Hero Community all around the world. We eat, drink, learn, network, and explore the Data Cloud together!
Snowflake User Group Leaders are the heart and soul of our global community. They go above and beyond to give back to the community by taking the lead and passionately running our user groups to help people to connect and learn from one another.
Whether your passion is fueled by the Data Cloud, building your personal brand, the joy of gathering, or all of the above, enthusiasm and commitment are the main drivers of success when it comes to building a community.
As a group leader, you’ll help connect people in user groups based on geographic location. You’ll coordinate in-person and virtual meetup events on a monthly cadence for your group, and be one of the point people for the Snowflake team. Snowflake will support you and your co-leaders along the way with best practices, funding, swag, and speaker sourcing as needed, but the goal is for this chapter to be a true peer-to-peer exchange of knowledge and experiences.
The role of a Snowflake User Group Leader is to plan and facilitate meetings for your chapter on at minimum a monthly basis. As the leader, you’re the main point of contact for the community members, but you’re never alone! We’re here to help with:
