About this event

Join us virtually on October 5th at 4:30pm CT for a special DFW user group meeting as a part of the BUILD.local series. BUILD.local meetings are community-led sessions that cover innovations in the data applications, data science, data engineering, and data sharing space. Register to participate virtually, and get your custom BUILD.local DFW swag package! This meeting will be streamed to the global audience attending Snowflake BUILD.

The emergence of cloud computing has rocketed .csv files with different level of compressions to another type of record keeping, in addition to different flavor of semi-structured compressed data files such as parquet, Avro, and json. They are very popular with the technical developers’ community because of the reduction in storage cost and speed of transfer over network but less so for business users. It is still a challenge for them to move away from the Excel spreadsheets to parse and learn how to manipulate the new data file format. During this session you will learn how to use Excelerator, a Windows only, Microsoft Excel Add-In to read data from Snowflake as well as to move bulk data with speed and security from disparate Excel spreadsheet silos into Snowflake.
