About this event

Join us on November 17th at 6pm for a special Austin user group meeting as a part of the BUILD.local series. Snowflake BUILD is our annual developer conference held on November 15th and 16th. Come to BUILD.local following the conference to meet up with your local community. BUILD.local brings together app developers, data scientists, and data engineers to connect and explore what and how to build. Food and beverages will be served, and all attendees will leave with exclusive BUILD.local swag!

We'll kick things off with a Streamlit session and demo led by Dr. Andy Terrel.

Snowflake has reduced the complexity of managing data swamps but to get the next level of usage we have to visualize! Off the shelf solutions like Tableau are great but die once you need something that relies on models or basic interactivity. In comes Streamlit, your data visualization superhero giving the modest data scientist the ability to build custom visualization with very little code. In this talk, we go through a marketing analytics pipeline and a quick tutorial of Streamlit working its magic.

After this session Anaconda CEO, Peter Wang, will join us for Q&A!

There is an open parking lot right in front of the ESO building. If you choose to park in this lot you will be provided with a temporary parking pass at the front desk to put on the dash of your car. There is also free parking in the Nordstrom's parking garage (ONLY levels 3 and 4) nearby. The main entrance is just to the right of the large ESO sign. The all-hands space is through the green “backyard” area on the right.
