Snowflake Summit '26 Highlights & Innovations from Coles Group & VivantiSummit '26 wrapped up in San Francisco in June with the biggest set of platform announcements we have seen to date.  For this user group, we're taking the Brisbane community through the latest innovations coming to the platform and what's next. We're also joined by Coles Group and Vivanti who will be sharing innovative use cases using Snowflake.

Power BI Report development with Snowflake CoCo	Ever wished your Power BI reports behaved more like real code? This session shows how we transformed BI development from slow, manual clicking in binary .pbix files into a modern, code-first, AI-assisted workflow. We'll walk through the shift to PBIP v2—reports as text you can version-control, diff, and peer-review in Git—and how Snowflake Semantic Views became the single source of truth for metrics across both CoWork (Previously Snowflake Intelligence) and Power BI. You'll see CoCo "Skills" put to work encoding brand standards, institutional knowledge, and complex JSON so AI can generate compliant reports and DAX measures on demand, all governed by a disciplined OpenSpec Propose → Explore → Apply change process and an Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline that validates and deploys automatically across Dev, Test, and Production. The result: less time memorising palettes and file structures, more time on the data modelling and insights that actually matter. Highlights & Key Takeaways from Snowflake Summit 2026	Summit's theme was the agentic enterprise. Snowflake Intelligence is now CoWork, the agent for business users, and Cortex Code is now CoCo, the builder's agent. Underneath them, Horizon Context and Cortex Sense supply governed business context, and AI Agent Identity gives every agent a verifiable identity and audit trail. For the data foundation, Apache Iceberg v3 went GA, while Openflow and the new Datastream service cover managed ingestion. Brought together these capabilities provide the control plane for a governed agentic enterprise.
